Our two-bedroom, two-bath apartment in the Maui Vista has a magnificent ocean-view, and is completely equipped with air conditioners, private phone line with free calling to anywhere in the US, wireless internet for your laptop, ceiling fans, full-size washer & dryer, stainless steel range and dishwasher, bottom-freezer refrigerator,microwave, coffee maker, TV/VCR/DVD, linens, dishes, cooking utensils, and a large library for beach-reading and evening leisure. You will find everything you need for a wonderful Maui holiday -
even beach towels!

This is our part-time residence, and we have installed bamboo flooring in the living room and master bedroom, travertine marble flooring in the halls, bathroom and kitchen, a deep soaker tub in the main bathroom, and granite countertops throughout. This year, we installed new kitchen cabinets, added a new air conditioner in the upstairs bedroom, and had the entire apartment painted. Our Maui home features tasteful artwork by local artisans and by our daughters, Saltspring Island artist Diana Lynn Thompson and Vancouver photographer Karolle Wall. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a tempurpedic mattress; there are twin beds upstairs, which can be joined together - we provide King-sized sheets for that purpose.

We are across the street from one of Maui's safest and most beautiful beaches, Kamaole 1, yet our apartment is quiet and private. Restaurants, stores, snorkel shops, supermarkets and a health food store are all within walking distance.

We are non-smokers, and are pleased to offer a smoke-free environment. Smoking is now prohibited in all public areas (including lanais) in Hawaii. Pets are not allowed in the Maui Vista.

Our apartment is located in building 3 of the Maui Vista - the quietest building, with the best ocean views. From the lanai, you can watch whales and gorgeous sunsets (in season). There are barbeques, tennis courts and a swimming pool at our building, and lush landscaping throughout the complex. The apartment is available from late February to mid-November; we are "in residence" in early winter. The condo rents for $110 to $160 per night from mid-April to mid-November, depending on the length of your stay. In high season, prices range from $135 to $185. We do not accept credit cards, but will be happy to receive your personal check.

Cancellation policy: A $200 US deposit will hold your booking until one month before your arrival date, when the balance is due. If you should need to cancel before the balance is due, we will return $100 of your deposit or apply all of your deposit to your next stay.
